AdEx, a blockchain-based ad exchange, has announced the release of AdEx Network Beta on Monday, February 26. AdEx development team is currently running tests and making last tweaks. The final tests and integrations on the UI of the adex-dapp are in progress to ensure everything is functioning the way it is designed to.

AdExAdEx Network Beta release date

Earlier this year AdEx announced that the development was going ahead of schedule and that the company hoped to introduce our prototype in October. However, AdEx said it found a better way to design the AdEx architecture. It is said that new approach would give the DApp more flexibility and scalability, and would allow for the integration with hardware wallets such as Trezor, Ledger and Metamask. At that point AdEx made the decision to revert to its original release date for the benefit of a superior decentralized app.

The company also announced it is deploying a new version of smart contracts (these are currently being tested on the Ropsten testnet), adding once everything is live, it will be added to its public GitHub repositories.

Referring to anonymous sources, the Financial Times and Reuters report that this step, if done, will be aimed at increasing the attractiveness of the platform.

The Quorum open source project was launched in 2016 and is a private version of the Ethereum blockchain. JPMorgan presented the project at the annual Sibos conference.

We continue to believe distributed ledger technology will play a transformative role in business which is why we are actively building multiple blockchain solutions. We’re not going to comment on speculation, but Quorum has become an extremely successful enterprise platform even beyond financial services and we’re excited about its potential.

Reuters could not find out if the current employees of the Quorum project would join the new venture. It is also unknown what role the new head of the innovation center of the blockchain of JPMorgan, Ember Bolde, currently responsible for the development of Quorum, will do.
