AlphaPoint represents modern network and new CEO

The AlphaPoint firm revealed its plans concerning a new AlphaPoint Public Network (APN). The major purpose of the development is a necessity to submit tangible assets in a digital form. With the help of the new network the blockchain software maker will provide the opportunity to issue and exchange digital assets, which are supported by real-world assets.

The APN will be created with the help of Intel’s technology Software Guard Extensions (SGXs), which allows to close off private keys in the blockchain.

At the same time as the new network was announced, it was reported that Salil Donde had become a new CEO of the company and a member of its board of directors. Earlier he performed duties of an executive vice president of Nasdaq's Global Information Services.

Donde also defined the main goal of AlphaPoint. He said that the company has to help people to transform their tangible assets to digital and put forth new markets.

Social platform for petitions Change.org announced the launch of a screensaver that mines Monero on users' computers. All tokens will be transferred to the charity fund of Change.org. This is reported by Coindesk.

This initiative was launched in partnership with the marketing agency Tracelocke Brazil.

Representatives of Change.org report that the screensaver will consume resources only when users do not use the computer. According to their calculations, if 10 thousand computers will run the screensaver for 12 hours a day, the charity fund will be transferred $ 10 thousand monthly.

At the moment the program is available only for Windows users and the platform did not report on the release plans for the version for macOS.

Note that at the end of April, a similar action was launched by the Australian unit of the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund; (UNICEF). The website "Page of Hope" mines Monero cryptocurrency.
