The Binance currency exchange announced the opening of a unit in Uganda, whose services include the exchange of digital assets for the currency of the country. This is reported by Cointelegraph.
Binance Uganda will be an independent structure, while at the same time possessing a "reliable business association" with the main platform. The new exchange will use the code base, operating systems and security measures of the original Binance platform.
The decision to launch Binance Uganda Changpeng Zhao explained the desire to spread the crypto currency in all parts of the world.
We think that crypto has a very strong use case in less developed countries… there’s more money to be made in a more developed country, but we want to distribute crypto to the rest of the world.
At the same time, Changpeng Zhao stressed that to expand the fiat exchange proposal it is necessary to resolve issues related to customer identification and combating money laundering.
In the short term, the company plans to open branches in two or three more regions and continue working on a prototype of its decentralized exchange.
