Bitmain to Unveil Antminer 17 Series Specs

Bitmain, a leading manufacturer of mining equipment, announced the specifications of the new 7-nm Antminer 17 Series devices, sales of which will start on Tuesday, April 9.

New devices include the Antminer S17, Antminer S17 Pro and Antminer T17. All of them are equipped with the new 7 nm chips of the second generation BM1397 and, according to Bitmain, are the most advanced miners for mining BTC and BCH.

Antminer S17 is presented in two versions - models with 56 TH / s and 53 TH / s hashrate with two mining modes. In the normal mode, the energy efficiency of both models is 45 J / TH, in the energy-saving mode - 42 J / TH.

Antminer S17 Pro also comes in two versions - models with a capacity of 53 TH / s and a 50 TH / s with three modes of mining, offering "higher customization and the ability to switch between different settings." The energy efficiency of both models in turbo mode is 45 J / TH, in normal mode - 39.5 J / TH, in energy saving mode - 36 J / TH.

Sales of the Antminer T17 will start at a later stage, and their specifications have not been disclosed.

Sales of Antminer 17 Series will start on April 9th and will occur in two installments at different times for different regions. Prices for devices have not been disclosed.

The Chinese manufacturer of mining equipment Bitmain introduced a budget device for Bitcoin mining Antminer S9SE. New ASIC miners were sold out in few hours.

Antminer S9SE is more efficient than previous models of this line. It's hashrate is 16 TH/s and power efficiency is 80 J/TH. For example, for S9k, the hash rate is 13.5TH/s, for S9j - 14.5TH/s.

The company's website indicates that the price of the updated S9 is $ 351. The first batch was presented yesterday, June 18, but in a matter of hours sold out. The next delivery of devices is scheduled for July 21-31.

In early April, Bitmain introduced the high-performance Antminer 17 Series based on 7-nm chips.
