Bitstamp supports SegWit

Well-known cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp reported about the Segregated Witness protocol support. This is reported by the official Twitter of the platform.

As noted, now users of the exchange are able to generate SegWit compatible bitcoins-addresses. At the same time, new addresses on the exchange will be easily distinguished from the previous ones, since they will be highlighted in green.

In addition, as the representatives of the exchange assured, "old" bitcoins-addresses do not lose their functionality and are compatible with new Segwit-addresses.
