Bittrex banned accounts due to security reasons

The Bittrex has blocked 0.1% of the total number of user accounts for the the security check. This is said in the official statement of the exchange.

According to the Bittrex administration, the verification procedure is one of the planned activities of the platform and is designed to ensure the security of the services of the exchange and its users.

As part of a compliance review, we have temporarily suspended certain accounts pending the completion of the review. The total number of suspended, closed, or banned accounts is very limited: less than 0.1% of the total accounts on Bittrex.  More than 99.9% of Bittrex accounts are unaffected.

Also, Bittrex denied the charges of overcharging commission fees and loss of user coins.

Any reports that Bittrex miscalculated or misapplied its exchange fees, that there is a security problem with the exchange, that Bittrex lost any coins stored on users’ behalf, or that Bittrex is banning people trying to access Slack to discuss the status of their accounts are incorrect.  We are committed to making Bittrex a strong, safe, and compliant exchange where people can securely participate in the digital currency economy. We ask for patience from our highly valued customers.

Earlier, some users of the Bittrex exchange complained that they can not access their accounts, and the technical support of the exchange did not give any explanation on this matter.

Bittrex to Remove Maker Fee For Certain Accounts

Bittrex Cryptocurrency Exchange temporarily lowered the maker fee (for placing a limit order) in pairs with the US dollar to zero, and the taker fee (ffor buying / selling the placed order) to 0.15%. These changes will be valid until July 3 for accounts that at least once showed a monthly trading volume above $ 30 thousand.

At the same time, other accounts that do not fall under the initial requirements may also apply for a reduction in fees.

Note that Bittrex launched such a campaign in honor of the announcement of an important event: the addition of support for the fiat euro this summer.
