Coinbase Segwit Implementation is on the Final Stage

According to official Twitter account of popular cryptocurrency company, SegWit compatible Bitcoin sends/receives will be available in the next few weeks

Coinbase reported on the final testing of Segwit implementation for Bitcoin.

Many of our customers have been asking for SegWit, and we’re working out a way to implement this upgrade safely. We store billions of dollars worth of bitcoin on behalf of customers and any change to our infrastructure is done with significant planning and consideration for the security and stability of our platform.

Earlier, bitcoin enthusiasts came crashing at Coinbase that it doesn't support SegWit to solve the problem of expensive and slow transactions in the bitcoin network. Some bitcoins-enthusiasts have blamed Coinbase in Bitcoin's full mempool.

Coinbase to Acquire Neutrino

Coinbase cryptocurrency exchange bought analytical blockchain-startup Neutrino. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed, CoinDesk reports.

According to Coinbase product director Varun Srinivasan, the startup will help the exchange to determine the most popular tokens in certain regions for listing on the respective branches of the site.

It is noted that eight employees of Neutrino will be transferred to Coinbase’s London office this week.
