Ethereum-Bitcoin 'hybrid', eBTC cryptocurrency, gains 630% on investor hype

A brand new altcoin called eBTC has increased in value 634% since it launched on Monday.

The concept of the cryptocurrency is quite curious: this is “a tokenized version of Bitcoin on the Ethereum Blockchain”, the developers team explain.

Thus, according to data on coinmarketcap.com, eBTC launched with a value of around $0.03 per token, whereas at the time of writing had increased to $0.41 as exchange EtherDelta became involved in trading it (EBTC/ETH).

Yet, both volatility and overall reputability of the asset is rather conspicuous. eBTC still lacks even a whitepaper, and its technical applications remain quite vague.
