Gemini, a digital asset exchange and custodian that allows customers to buy, sell, and store digital assets, has announced the successful first settlement of January expiry Bitcoin Futures, which trade on the Cboe Futures Exchange, LLC (CFE) under the ticker “XBT”.

The settlement price was $10,900.00, as determined by Gemini’s 4pm Eastern Time BTCUSD auction, in which 616.86 bitcoin traded — a notional value of $6.72m USD.
Gemini Cboe futures contract
Cboe and Gemini Trust Company partnered to launch the first Иitcoin futures contract on December 10, 2017, and over 124,000 contracts have been traded since the initial launch with the notional value of over $1.5 billion USD.
