The former head of the infamous bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox Mark Karpeles said that the information that appeared a day earlier that he plans to launch a new project in the blockchain area is not entirely correct. He said in conversation with The Block.

According to a French entrepreneur who has been in Japan for the past few years, neither the blockchain nor the cryptocurrency will be involved in the Tristan Technologies model.

We’re working on new cloud solutions but with absolutely nothing on blockchain right now…This is [just] a technology company. I don’t think it would make sense at this point to work in the blockchain and crypto industry.

However, the former head of Mt. Gox does not exclude that such an opportunity will appear in the future.

We may do things with the blockchain in the future but as of now there are no plans.

In addition, Karpeles drew attention to the fact that Tristan Technologies cannot be considered a “new” company, since it has been around for about three years.

It’s not new, we’ve just been underground. We didn’t want to be too vocal until after the judgement.

According to Karpeles, in the coming year, Tristan Technologies intends to launch a new operating system to improve security and speed up software integration. He also expressed the hope that the project will be long-term and will lead to the emergence of new services.

In April last year, it was reported that Mark Karpeles works as the technical director of the American VPN provider London Trust Media.

1st Alternative Zcash Client to be Created by Parity

The responsibility for the continued development and support of the new client called Zebra will be with the Zcash Foundation

The leading developer of solutions for the Ethereum ecosystem, Parity Technologies, presented the first alternative client for cryptocurrency Zcash.

A new client called Zebra is designed to improve the security of the Zcash network. So, if the original Zcashd client will not be able to operate for some reason, the blockchain will be supported by nodes on Zebra.

In addition, with the help of an alternative client, developers will be able to identify bugs and eliminate defects in consensus.

The community wins across the board, as there are now more core developers working on clients, with more interests represented and clients taking different approaches on how to build apps on top. Zcash can now boast a more diversified community that can effectively tailor experiences for Layer 2 developers as well as end-users.

The responsibility for the continued development and support of the Zebra will be with the Zcash Foundation.
